Bird in Hand ‘Nest Egg’ Shiraz, Adelaide Hills, Australia 2018

The wine is deep coloured,purple, with redhues.A contemporary Shiraz, defined by cool climate characteristics. Opens with layers of brambly dark fruits intertwined with charcuterie, truffle and spice notes of vanilla, anise and pepper. A lovely hint of leather and cedar coming through with some bottle age.Powerful yet lively in character the mid-palate shows layers of fleshy fruit, all framed by balanced acidity and classy, elegant tannins.
