It’s again assembled from Grenache, Cinsault, and the rare Tibouren grape (an indigenous Provenal variety said to bring aromas of garrigue, the herby scrub of southern France). Oh, and a splash of Syrah. The grapes are sourced from chalky-clay parcels in the heart of the Ctes de Provence, around the achingly pretty commune of Puget-Ville.
It’s a crunchy, flawlessly balanced ros, laden with preserved citrus rind, redcurrant, and Ros petal perfume and flavours. There’s a pulpy, generous texture with racy, peppery, herby freshness from whoa to go. It finishes dry and super refreshing, with a twist of white pepper and grip as well. Real seduction and pleasure on offer here, but also genuine depth and interest.
