Apothic Dark Red Blend California 750 ML

Ripe black cherry, wild blackberry and raspberry fruit notes are layered on the inviting palate with toffee and milk chocolate. Producer Information Apothic Wines is a range of wines produced by California’s largest wine exporter, E.J. Gallo. It began with a single wine, the Apothic Red, which was first released in commercial volumes in 2010. The wine is a blend of Zinfandel, Merlot, Syrah and Cabernet Sauvignon, made in a full-bodied style with ripe, fruit-forward characters and some residual sugar. The wine’s easy-drinking style was an immediate hit and Apothic wines followed up with the Apothic Dark, a fuller and more savory red blend, and a white wine made from Chardonnay, Riesling, and Pinot Grigio. Apothic Inferno was produced in 2014 and was a blend of 51 percent Zinfandel with remainder made up of Merlot, Syrah, Petite Sirah, Pinot Noir and Dornfelder. In February 2015, a limited-release red blend of Petite Sirah and Pinot Noir was sold as Apothic Crush.
