The fruit for this wine was hand picked from our estate plantings and was fermented by indigenous yeasts. It is named in honour of Edna Rae Friend, the mother of Narkoojees co-founder, Harry Friend. Edna and her husband Athelstan, owned and operated the dairy farm that is now the site of the Narkoojee vineyard and winery. The wine comprises 25% pinot noir and 75% merlot and is full flavoured with a lush sweetness and gentle fizz.
Tasting Notes Colour: Vibrant fuchsia and watermelon. Bouquet: Strawberry and musk with raspberry and a touch of almond, honeysuckle and watermelon. Flavour: Musk with strawberry-and-cream, dried apricot and a touch of lychee and mulberry. Texture: Full flavoured but fresh and zesty with a lush sweetness and gentle fizz. Alcohol: 13.0%
