Look – Dense red/purple

Nose – Rose petals, dark cherry juice, cranberry and cedar spice.

Taste – A balanced palate profile with soft flavours of cherries, dark plums and a backbone of light tannins that extend through a long and refreshing finish. Lightly oaked to compliment the fruit flavours.

Occasion – A great “go to” wine that will suit many occasions and food styles, grilled food and pastas particularly.

Cellaring – Drink young and youthful

Tempranillo sourced from the Iberian peninsula has been grown and used in making fortifieds at S&K for decades. The natural extension is to make a table wine. In typical New World style it is much bolder and flavoursome than the sometimes thin and lighter Joven styles from old world Rioja in Spain. The suitability of this variety to the warm Rutherglen region lifts it to a new level
