Valdesil Valderroa Mencia 2021

Valdesil’s two Menca wines make up a very small proportion of the Bodega’s production. The red vineyards comprise old bush vines planted on the south-facing slate slopes around the high-altitude village of O Moulln (in the mountainous eastern limits of Valdeorras). The rocky soils, high altitude and cooling Atlantic weather patterns here sculpt juicy, racy, tangy, cherry scented, light to medium bodied reds – and that’s exactly what we have here.
